Emily C. Brown, Esq.

Founder and Principal Attorney

Emily C. Brown, Esq. is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Elevate Justice U.S. Immigration Law, bringing extensive experience in business, family, and federal immigration law, as well as high-impact litigation. With nearly a decade of experience, she guides clients through challenging immigration processes and litigation, offering strategic counsel and advocacy that makes an impact.

Emily’s professional experience spans federal agencies, including the Washington, D.C. headquarters for the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She specialized in complex federal litigation related to constitutional claims, the Administrative Procedure Act, Bivens actions, and the Federal Torts Claim Act. She also advised on the development and implementation of immigration regulations for the H-2A and H-2B program on a national level.

Prior to federal service, she worked in private practice, where she represented businesses and families in immigration matters and compliance audits. Emily developed strong client relationships when advising on Form I-9 compliance and had a passion for working on E-2 investor visas and L visas for intracompany transfers. She also enjoyed supporting families through their immigration journey as they adjusted status or sought immigrant visas through consular processing.

Emily is a published author on labor compliance and human trafficking in corporate supply chains, a speaker on immigration and human rights, and a volunteer supporting youth and survivors of trauma. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Florida, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
